In the native village of Hovhannes Tumanyan, in the Dsegh Bardzrakash Monastery, a unique medieval sundial has been preserved.
The clock is carved on a stone khachkar. Thanks to the movement of the sun’s rays, it shows the time of day. This is proof that our ancestors not only created masterpieces of art, but also structures of scientific and practical value.
The sundial is combined with the magnificent nature and ancient khachkars of Dsegh, turning this place into a living museum of history and culture.
